A kicktail helps with starting tricks and longer and wider boards are better for dancing, so you have room to move your feet. The best really depends on your own preference and the type of riding you prefer the most. Cruiser are also great Freestyle boards.

What is a Dancer/Dancing Longboard?

A Dancer Longboard is used for dancing/walking/cross stepping on the board. It is in general what longer (40-50 inch), has a flat surface (or mellow concave) and is symmetrical shaped, so the direction you ride-in is always the front.
